One Direction's Louis Tomlinson is officially a dad and fans are LOSING it

The singer announced the arrival of his baby boy today and the reaction has been appropriately off the wall.

EARLIER TODAY, ONE Direction’s Louis Tomlinson confirmed that he is now the father of a bouncing baby boy.

The 24-year-old tweeted, “I’m pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday. He is healthy and pretty amazing. I’m very happy!!”

Before following it up with a dad joke. (It’s never too early to start, you know.)

And three smiley faces.

Fans accepted the news with good grace and composure.

Just kidding! They absolutely lost it.

Emotions are running high, people.

For one thing, people are already fantasising about what this could mean for Louis’ Instagram.

So much potential for exciting new #content.

And there’s already much speculation about what type of Dad he’ll be.

In fact, the consensus seems to be that he’ll be the “type of dad” to buy his son runners and play football with him. (You know, the most mundane dad activities of all time.)

Meanwhile, others are struggling to cope with the fact that he’s an actual dad.

“You mean, he’s a Dad? Not just a celebrity we call ‘dad’?”

While others are concerned about what this means for Larry — the moniker used by 1D fans who ‘ship’ Louis Tomlinson and Harry Style.

But mostly people are just happy for him.
